Biography

For the past 13 years, Tom has helped companies reorganize their staff to achieve maximum output and employee retention by working strategically with human resources departments and hiring managers.

Prior to starting The LaSalle Network in 1998, Tom spent several years in sales and marketing at both national and local service organizations. At 26 years old, Tom left his employer and sought to create the first Chicago firm to offer employment solutions to the accounting and finance world. With only $1,000, two employees and less than 1,200 square feet of office space, Tom set forth to change the face of staffing.

Today, The LaSalle Network boasts three offices; 75 employees; 12,000 placements; 1,000 clients and a 600 percent growth rate since 2001.

In 2007 & 2008, Tom was nominated for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, and in 2001 The LaSalle Network landed a spot on Entrepreneur Magazine’s “Hot 100” list. Tom has been featured in Fortune Small Business, Crain’s Chicago Business, Chicago Sun-Times, Kansas City Star, and mentioned in The Wall Street Journal. Additionally, Tom has appeared on several news networks including ABC7, CBS2, NBC5, and WGN TV.

Tom is an active member in multiple associations including Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), American Staffing Association, Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and Turnaround Management Association. He is also a board member for Jobs for Youth, a local non-profit organization providing job opportunities for young adults in Chicago.
